Looking for a nice pair of shoes, need help

Hey guys, I know there are some knowledgeable fashion folk around here that know how to dress well. Can you help me find some examples of a shoe like the ones in the cover photo on this website: http://www.raleighworkshop.com/? I shopped around this weekend and didn't have much luck. I want a nice leather boot/shoe like this that is distressed a bit so I don't have to wax/polish them every day to keep them in good shape, or otherwise worry much if I beat them up a bit. Any tips out there? Willing to spend what it takes to get something I can have forever and resole when necessary.

Thanks for any tips!

I have these in "Seal Brown". Classy, but not as preppy as boat shoes and still has the feel of casual slip-ons. they also wear in nicely (i don't light new clean shoes) and after 2 weeks had that great leather shoe look without being dirty.

Let me actually be some help here.

If you are looking for formal/casual, the oxford is the way to go.

I would say for a decent shoe that will last you a while that you can re-sole here would be my list.

super cheap, but here you go.

Did they offer to order them for you? Nordstrom almost always will offer to do that if they don't have the item in stock, and shipping is free.

Also, check out J crew, they have several "chukka" style shoes.

Also, zappos.com. Amazing customer service, 1 year returns, free 2 day shipping (both ways) and plentiful selection.

And also since I've been trying to find something in a lower price range, found a brand on Zappos called Bedstu, not sure on the quality but they're all modestly priced and seem to cover the style you're looking for.

They're getting played out, but honestly I have a pair and wear them all the time so I shouldn't say shit. Go for beeswax, looks great with denim and wears amazing

I've seen them as low as $60 on Amazon and as high as $160 in store, in Canada though. Pretty damn cheap.

The boots on that webpage look like the Wolverine 1000 Mile Boot. It was developed in 1914 and has pretty much been in production in one way or another since. About as manly as a boot as you can get along with the Redwings. Pricey though.
