Go to your local ski shop, try different ones on with your helmet. See which one fits your face best. All the leading brands will have good lenses so you don't have to worry about quality, but just try em on and see which you prefer :)
He probably shouldn't be defiant when he goes into a store. That being said I tried on a few pair of goggles and ended up with the Smith I/O. You can swap out the lens in about 10 seconds which is great when it's cold and you don't want to spend a lot of time struggling trying to swap your lens.
io/x are fucking sick. the thing i dont understand with the canopy, every good goggle oakley has, airbrake, splice, crowbar the outriggers match the frame and look sick. the canopy its this black and ugly gray piece.
I just won 3 pair of Scott TW Off-Grid goggles and they're okay. Not as easy and quick to swap out lenses and they don't have the anti-slide grip thing that the I/O goggles have.
Honestly I'd get Canopys not just cause they are new but they do have a huge field of vision, are super light, durable, and you can hardly feel them on your face. Don't forget stylish they are very stylish
if you have enough money i really like the polarized electrics. but ive only tried them on since im not loaded. I have the eg2s but they are a bit big for my liking
