whenever i send something to someone that i found on here they are like how the hell did you find this.. and when it comes to explaining newschoolers to someone who has never been on it or even skied, it is nearly impossible...it is an experience which all skiers should take part in..haha pointless post

That happens to me all the ime. I'll send a friend a random video or something hilarious and they'll be like, 'where'd you find that?'

I just kinda hedge on it. Sometimes I just tell people it's a message board. It's easiest like itsbackfliptime said.

Just call it NS. All the big message boards are referred to in acronym form. TS, for example, is Teenspot (and by the way, if you think this site has an idiot problem... whoof). They'll assume it's one of those. Problem solved.

i just say its a ski site....
and they go oh alright,
and if they ask like what does it do i say it has messages boards about skiing and other stuff and u can post pictures and videos and get news and info on contests
and that shuts them up



-let people do what they want, ski how you want, make whoever you want your role model its your choice
-i love to ski, so should you, its fun, try it sometime

I usually say it's a skiing site where you can talk to other skiiers all over the world and sometimes chat it up with pros. That is usally the best way to put it even if some of it aint the point of the site.

i only know 3 other guys at my school that freestyle ski. Me and one other were watching session 1242 on his DVD player before football practice in the cafeteria, and our whole football team ended up watching it.

The best though, was when me and skibum_ would have conversations about stuff on NS or people on NS and all of our friends would listen like they knew what was going on... but they never did.
