Firstly sorry for making so many threads about which gear to get, hope I'm not doing too many. Broke my tripod handle today, which was surprising as it had about a 6mm metal bolt running through it, but anyway I'm returning that and getting a refund.
So I'll be in need of a tripod for video/photo(550d with grip, tamron 17-50(heaviest lens currently) and also a flash, altogether this is ~2kg, although I may add more in future). My budget is ~£200 tops(head and tripod), I really don't want to spend this much but It seems I'm going to need to for quality, so it's fine.
I see a lot of people suggesting a manfrotto 055xprob(also is the adjusting column worth the extra money over the 055xdb?, and is that the only difference) but I'm not sure if it's just people parroting what others say without knowing if it's really the best tripod suited. Or is there another tripod better suited?
Also For a head I see a lot of people recommending the 501, but again I'm not sure if it's just people parroting or if it really is the best choice, and also people talk about how the 501 isn't a true fluid head, compared to the 701 which is(but lacks friction adjustment(and the balance feature) which really pushes me towards the 501)) so again, recommendations would really be appreciated.
Thanks
