Descente is looking for a filmer to document our athletes seasons from December through march. The positition will be paid as will travel. The filmer will be responsible for not only filming but editing footage of the athletes and producing webisodes that follow the direction and guidelines set forth by the company. This will be time intensive! It will be all aspects of skiing, not just doing hotlaps through the park, nor just back country lines. We are looking for someone who has the interest and ability in putting together a high quality product, that all of us would be proud to associate our names with.

Requirements:
People person: you have to be able to work with people of various personalities in high stress environments (aka being a professional action sports filmer).
Responsible: Deadlines will be set, and must be met. If you cannot communicate with adults like an adult this job isn't for you.
Honesty: If you say you can do something you will be expected to do it.
You must be over 18. you will be travelling and essentially following pro skiers around on their schedule. This means if you are working full time already, or going to school full time this will probably not be the job for you. Some arrangements can be made around school but you need to be able to travel and ski most of the week if necessary.
Camera/Editing Equipment: We are not looking to buy you a set up, we are looking for a professional individual who knows how to put together quality edits. and is prepared to do so already.
The ability to shred; If you can't get to where the shots will be taken you will not be considered.
Attention to detail: If you E-mail me asking a question of something that was answered in this Post you're not qualified. We are looking for someone we don't have to babysit to get the job done. Further more if you haven't made it this far through the post then you don't have the patience required to do this project.
Compensation will not be discussed until we have seen the quality of your work.
