Sounds like he was expecting it to be shitty because it's a third party. In general, third party lenses aren't as good as their counterparts, but it sorta ruined the vid how negative he was. a lot of it was half-hearted jokes. All that I learned was that it has more coatings

A bit disappointing, especially if you compare to how excited he got about the inferior (but sexier looking) Olympus 12mm f/2.

It seems like he had already made his mind up about it before he even started shooting with it and was just ripping it apart.... Pretty ridiculous considering its one of, if not the best UWA lens for crop sensors on the market. Just because its not Nikon doesn't mean it isn't good.

Canon/nikon 1.5-1.6x does these days, way too many mp's. fuji on the other hand is making grey sensors!

both of you guys are right:

APS-C (aka s35 in video) is the same size as 35mm cinema film (because of the perfs and vertical travel)
FF sensors made by either Canon or Nikon are far superior to their APS-C's

Ahh sorry I should have specified a little more, whenever I really post anything its in relation to video, not photography as much just because I don't take many photos or anything. But yeah full frame absolutely destroys crop sensors for photography its not even comparable, but crop sensors for video are pretty good!

Yeah, exactly.

Olympus, Nikon, Fuji, Sony all produce cameras with crop sensors that have better dynamic range and color depth than Canon's full frame offerings.
