The Disco Biscuits

Anybody out there dig them? I used to be a big fan. Rarely ever see them though. Bumpin some old shows right now and feelin good.

After seeing the 3 shows last weekend it made me kind of sad. Had a great time, but I wish that band hadn't changed so much. I never got to see them with sammy on drums, and for the most part that's the only disco biscuits I like. They used to be a jamband with some electro built in. Now they play nothing but the untz it seems. Also barber can't shred like he used to but that happens to bands. It's just strange that they changed their direction so vastly.

Anybody hit bmore or city bisco last weekend? Anyone hit camp over the summer or doing nye? I'll probably be at moe. but the phish>biscuits NYE looks like fun.

Yeah. That's why I posted up world is spinning. Feel like some people have probably heard it. Not a bad song at all.

I don't know what to post cause a lot of people on here don't really do the jams so anything with a nice long jam is a no go.




Would have love to eat some biscuits and rage some biscuits back then.

Hard as fuck to find youtube videos that aren't from the last few years.

At least the first night of camp this year they played an old school setlist and jammed. Went with 0 expectations and left that show pretty pumped.

they're definitely fun to see and I've never been disappointed, but there's a reason they only really seem to play big time holidays/events that they put on. Kind of interesting they're playing nye at the msg theatre while phish is rockin the stadium the same nights haha.

I'm diggin that they've got some off shoots like conspirator though. Saw them once and hope to see them again sooner than later. Not too often something like that comes up through mt though.

There is a reason. The band is like ;iugiugadf with each other.

I think the msg show starts right before phish ends and goes till sunrise almost.

I'm not a big fan of conspirator but at least they're playing. A lot of my friends love em though. Just not really my style but to each their own.

Went to Camp Bisco this year. Didn't see one of their full sets but listened to some of their music during the downtime. They are pretty damn sick and have one hell of a light show.

Allen fucked up everything they had. Sammy was a much better drummer and didn't play a bunch of easy non groovy pussy shit the entire concert. He went out there and wasn't afraid of going ham on the drums unlike Allen who tries to sound like a straight drum machine which makes the rest of the band sound like shit.

I mean yeah I like them. I've seen phish 3 times as much and moe. almost 10 times as much. So I wouldn't really classify myself as a biscuits dude.

I also don't do K or a lot of other stuff. Actually don't do anything at the moment.

I agree man. If I listen to shows it's almost always old shows. I think that's why it took me so long to see them and I moved away from them. That transition happened before I had a chance to see them.


At the same time I've heard from people that Allen actually has some legit drum skills but they want him to play the way he is now. Idk about that but I was surprised at a few moments at NYE that he actually could play.


Unfortunately Untz untz untz untz doesn't do it for me.



And to the poster above, what does DBB have to do with anything? I love them but they're a completely different band. Like really completely different.

Im still bummed i didn't go rage the philly shows this last spring. I fucking suck at music. Bought 6 cheese tickets for nov and might rage a few umph shows in jan. I need some phish biscuits and moe. in my life.

GREATEST FUCKING BAND IN THE WORLD! Seen em 42 times since '08. Whoever says Allen isn't a good drummer has no idea what they're talking about. He is more technically skilled than Sammy, hitting high-hat notes with speed Sammy could never hit, but some people prefer Sammy's laid-back in the pocket style. They are different drummers, everyone has their own opinion. Allen brings the heat. I prefer his style. Some of my fave bisco is Sammy bisco though. Fall 2001 is the shit. Also, 07-09 they were probably the best touring band in America. Just saw em in Colorado and had a blast. the dark side...

I agree. Not the whole scene but a lot of it. The biggest reason i didnt see them much. The scene wss grimey. Now that they arent touring really its not so bad.

Hey man if you are going to any shows put the word out. I love all those guys, but id say moe. and Phish are my favorites right now. I'm out in CT nd the crew and I are always looking for new homies to meet up and rage with. We keep it pretty clean minus the occasional fungus haha

Sounds like a blast man you have a nice lineup ahead of you. I don't usually get away except for weekends I'm mon-friday during the fall and winter but it leaves plenty of time for music and skiing. I would love to go man let me know if you have extras haha.

I never got too big into the biscuits, but i caught their dead set at vibes this summer and they crushed it. Needless to say i've been jamming them a bit more since then

Yeah man doing 6 cheese shows as soon as i get back east as well. Missed a TON of good music this summer and trying to make up for it. Usually not big on the destination holiday shows but it works out this time at least for halloween.

Hoping for some winter tours. Pissed i missed a few moe. And biscuits shows i could have hit in feb. Was so busy working in the park had comps and what not and made the big boy but 100% wrong decision not to go lol.

My nye run seats are almost all uppers but theyre dead center. My night 2s are right next to page though.

Unfortunately there is no way im selling them for face. They'll be face plus fees and a mandatory beer or hi five.

I personally would rather listen to moe. Umph, Phish or like Slighty Stoopid, Yonder mountain string band or like Infamous String Dusters most of the time. i'm from CT and I don't mess with k either. Oh and I work my ass off. You sound like a fun dude though!!!

Right I think its funny how he just like grouped everyone together. I'm not the biggest fan, I mean iv seen 8-10 sets over the course of last 3 camp biscos but i still enjoy them. I was thinking though- you kinda just did the same thing he with Biscuits fans with Phish?

As much as I respect the Biscuits for innovating the electronic jam scene, I cannot listen to them. I don't know what it is. The only words I can put to it is that they just sound sloppy and uncoordinated to me. I also hate their fan base more than any other scene. I love hippies, but the nitrous dirty wook crowd is the worst.
