ya ya I know there are hundreds of these. None of them really just had like 2 or 3 solid answers of what lens is best for their needs. So, i have a 60D and I will be filming skiing, tramping, biking, plus all other summer action sports. As for photography, I will be doing mostly the same sports, with some summer mountain shooting as well. So I don''t really have any budget, just want suggestions.
I am looking for suggestions of what lenses, camera bags, glidecam, SD Cards, filters, etc. . thanks and as always, +K for good replys

we might as well start this thread, seeing that nobody has answered it yet in any of the other threads, that if you're considering a dslr (you, the lurker reading, not the OP directly), you should probably budget this and figure out BEFORE YOU BUY A DSLR IN THE FIRST PLACE.
OP, you'll want this:
Tripod - $300-$600
Glidecam 2000: $250-$500
Canon 70-200 4L: $600
Canon 17-40 4L: $600 --OR-- Tamron 17-50 2.8: $350
Some sort of fast prime for low light: $200? range from $50-400....
Batteries (probably 3-4 total): lp-e6's, about $75, lp-e8's, about $35
Memory Cards (sandisk, 16gb, 3total): CF cards: $150 SD: $70
if you're about to say, 1337! that's really expensive, I dont have that kind of money! well guess what, you should have done the research first. and if you've bought already, start working or sell your setup if you cant put the money required into it.

expensive zoom lens's are more suited for photography, go buy some vintage primes if you're doing mostly video, save you a ton, also buy your tripod and glidecam used for sure. Buy everything used actually.

I dunno, I like having a zoom lens for video (I have a 17-40L). Just for the convenience of not switching lenses as often.

This is what I shot on all of last season
-T2i
-super tak 55 1.8
-tokina 10-17 3.5-5.6
-Some sd card
Glidecam hd 2000
-a crazy device I made out of a crutch to shoot things like shotgun style
-some 28mm olympus mount that didnt quite perfectly fit on the mount and rattled around
And by the end of the season everything got beer soaked and the tokina's af got broken and stuck at f3.5 but I still shot with it

What I am saying is don't flip shit, just slowly work towards each part that Jamie suggested and your edits will get better as your skill in shooting gets better and your gear gets better.
