Recently read this book in my Trip Lit class. Its an extremely interesting book, anyone else read it? Thoughts about the upcoming movie?

ive read the book many times, but its probably been close to a decade. need to reread before the movie (same with the hobbit...). book is a classic. hope they do a good job. i think whats her name gets naked, which is cool. if you like otr, definitely read some of kerouacs other books

Completely agree. And I've recently started reading The Dharma Bums by him, which I like a lot.

Yeah, I love it so far. I love his writing style, its very stream of conscious-ish and witty.

Read both mentioned above and are good reads. Always been a fan of Kerouac. Looking fwd to the movie.

Kirsten Stewart better not fuck up. I'm on the fence if I'll see it or not. Some books are better off with no movie adaptation.

I feel like this may be true about otr, its been out for so long that everyone has their own perception/visualization of the book, that it may be too late to adapt it successfully into film
