This was right after the Berlin Wall fell, so really no American bands had really been able to go and tour in Russia/Soviet Union. Thats part of the reason why there are 1.6 million people.

Also, that would be a nightmare to be one of those soldiers in charge of having to deal with over a million drunk Russians moshpitting.

Just like "Friday" one of my friends said that people will be making fun of "Friday" for years to come.... if you think about it no one really ever mentions it any more + I agree to what you said as well. People will rant about the song and how ridiculous it is but just wait 3 months from now it will just die down until no one really ever mentions it any more it always happens.
