Medical marijuana has started to anger me lately. They are the reasons that initiatives to legalize/decriminalize marijuana have not passed. They are clearly medical marijuana is hell bent on setting up legal monopolies on this plant, they sell weed for more than it should. It is clear they are not for the "patients" don't let them fool you.

In Washington they argue that the 5ng test will put patients in danger of a DUI, in California they got patients to bring down prop 19 a few years back. The same is happening in Colorado, most of the medical industry is against moving forward.

Their arguments are invalid. The fact is no one is able to drive under the influence of marijuana even if they have the right to smoke it medically. If they tested you today they would test for fat soluble cannabinoids that stay in your system for weeks. If you test positive and you haven't smoked in a week you have a possibility of getting a DUI. The new test will test for active cannabinoids and you usually only spike over 5ng for 2-6 hours depending how much you smoke. Dispensaries always make up these stupid claims "its not full legalization" "Our patients will be at risk from the laws in this initiative." It's clear that dispensaries are in for the money and no longer for the move forward. Legalization and even decriminalization will keep many people out of the jails and it is the path needed to be taken for full legalization of bud.

yea unfortunately lots of owners are in it for the weed and money, and not for the patient. thats what happens in such an unregulated industry. it sounds like more and more tenders are ignorant dicks these days. fuck those guys.

Before legal pot, tell me the kid who was selling THE DANK for 20$ an 1/8th? 150$ for an OZ??????Come on man. Be real. Even though their monopolizing the shit out of it and making killings, they're doing it on a large horizontal business scale, and by doing so, they start to control the pricing / good chunk of the market. We're benefiting from it by having fantastic bud at decent prices since the dispenses are competing against each other, not fucking Wal-Mart or Costco. By having full legalization, other countries start getting involved, weed starts to go all over the place with quality and price, and the high standard we have today could diminish. I take a very strong conservative view when it comes to Medi bud in Colorado, as then everybody starts smoking schwag, since it is so easy to produce, and then our pricing for the dank becomes inflated since they have to compete now.

Would you rather get drunk on 16 forties or a handle of some FANTASTIC whiskey? (imagine they're same price equivalent)

after 5 years of full legalization (regardless of real-life and natural factors of economic inflation) , those same 16 forties are now cheaper, and the whiskey is more expensive in order to compete with it.

i'd like to think that the whiskey is going to prevail, but people wanna get drunk for cheap. People wanna get high for cheap. It just depends on how great that high is, a lot of medium grade or a decent amount of high grade? I'd like to think that we want the best product possible, but people gotta get high, so if you want weed cigarettes from the gas station that get you high for an hour, support full legalization. If you like smoking a joint every 4 hours because you're still too high from the last one, then support the dispensary business.

I guess its really just personal opinion.

Medical marijuana is bullshit dude. Have you ever been to a dispensary? The percentage of people that go there that actually have cancer or some sort of illness that actually is helped or relieved by marijuana is very small. Most of the patients are trying to get legal weed and that is the main goal for dispensaries so they can get money and monopolize on the sale of marijuana. I rarely go to a dispensaries unless I want hash or some edible treats. My dealer has a large variety of strains to chose, all high quality buds and instead of paying 50 for an 8th of the same strain, I can get quarters for just about the same price.

Not that cheap. But I can get a $60 quarter which is about 7.4 grams and the same strain costs $45-$50 for an 1/8th at the dispensary. As long as their are growers who know what they are doing. There will be good weed and it probably wont cost as much as the dispensary to get dank.

So your argument is that pot dispensaries are gay because if you grew your own pot, then you can get the same amount of pot for 10- 20 $ cheaper? If everybody grew, then a good majority of the people can get pot from friends, rather than dispensaries or local stores. What then? we have just reinstated the same system we're using right now. Then we go from the people who have mastered growing so that they start making huge personal profit, and then people go to their friends as opposed to the dispensaries. But, if you're not in the circle and are new to the city, your stuck with the shit weed as opposed to getting weed from a growing friend unless you know of homies from there. Why would you limit yourself to that?

The price of marijuana isn't what gets on my nerves. Its the fact that they say they are for the patients and don't want them to get a DUI when instead they are tricking the patients into believing bullshit just so they can keep their monopolies for a little longer. While taking down a law that will keep thousands of people out of jail and without a criminal record. That is what bothers me. The medical industry is just a loophole to get marijuana without being hassled, It was something that was needed to be done but we cant stick with dispensaries for ever. We are better off with decriminalization or legalization. Prices will be cheaper and there will be less bullshit.  Why should I go pay almost twice as much at a dispensary when I can get a way better deal with the same quality from a my dealer?

Yeah but dispensaries want to keep it at medical marijuana so they can profit. Then give out their bullshit propaganda against initiatives every damn time you go into the dispensary and they can definitely fool you unless you read up about what the law actually does. Medical marijuana is the reason Prop 19 didn't pass in California.

There's some truth to that. I know a lot of MMJ "patients" who were totally against prop 19 for a whole list of stupid reasons. The dispensaries recognize that legalization would increase supply and drive down prices, and likely put many of them out of business. Some would simply transition to weed stores that provide high quality pot to whomever wants it without needing a prescription, and some of them do fight for recreational legalization. But I somewhat see your point.

Medical marijuana is worried in Washington state and I am sure in other places, because the black market will explode. Which I think will happen. Medical marijuana will not be able to compete with state stores that sell weed along with your run of the mill dealer and no one will want pay $300 to get a recommendation for medical marijuana after its decriminalized. Medical marijuana will start to disappear. smart moves would be transitioning to weed stores but not every dispensary can do that.

YES ON I-502. It will make mmj obsolete but it will drive down prices and stop the black market inflation and allow users so much more freedom if you are of age. (21+) a lot of people are mad about that but what the fuck they are legalizing weed did you expect them to make it a God damn free for all? I'm stoked to live in the first state that will probably pass it.

that being said medicinal marijuana farmers markets are the only way to go if you don't grow it yourself. Since so many access points are getting shut down many growers are vending at markets like MMJUniverse and NWCannabisFarmersMarket. The best deals you will ever find on the dankest buds and especially oils/wax. $200 oz's of kief, $15 gram dank oil, $180 zips of fire blue dream and GDP

With pain killers the only test you have to worry about is a road side test, not some chemical test that doesn't even take your motor skills into account. Even then if you fail a road side test but pass a breathalyzer and cannabinoid test you're chances of actually getting a ticket are totally subjective and at the cops discretion.

Haha yup the farmers markets. My friends go there often. I've been a few times. That is the best part about medical marijuana. I cant believe all the bitching people do. "Its going to be taxed" "They are going to give out DUIs" "You can't have over an ounce" Blah blah blah. Who the fuck travels with over an ounce of marijuana. At most I carry 5 grams on me and that is more than enough to last me the day.  If this law isn't passed you have the possibility of being arrested and charged with possession and charged with a DUI if you are driving. More people are being charged with possession of marijuana than DUIs so even if they do crack down we are still moving a big step forward.

I would be so down to start a Cannayard in California, or Washington State in the semi near future(if I had the money hahaha). It would be called Northern Star Feilds On the bag of marijuana it would say
NS Feilds The skunky funk. With a guy picking crop with a massive cone sticking out his mouth and plants as far as the eye can see.

Probably not. Some dispensaries are in it to help the patients but the truth is that most. Of them are just potheadsd trying to make a living off of weed legally. A lot of them have been selling weed illegally before and finally got the necessary shitbto start a MMJ access point.

Yeah this is my opinion on dispensaries. There are good ones out there but a lot are in for the money and some are greedy as fuck.

You are far off to think that stoners are few and far between in the medical marijuana industry because it is the very opposite. When you step into the clinic they basically help you get your card, they told me you need a chronic problem is there anything else you would like to tell us? I replied Have been having trouble with my sleeping. BOOM they give me my recommendation.

Medical marijuana is the adults way to smoke marijuana. I know of many parents and teachers that have their medi cards so they can smoke legally. Medical marijuana is primarily used as a loophole. The police have even joked with me once they find out im a prescribed marijuana "do you eat those brownies?" haha. 



Look at this. It has stoners written all over it.

I love how people act like you need a "legit reason" to want to smoke weed.  I like to smoke weed because I like getting high.  Nobody talks shit to the guy in a bar that just wants to get drunk, but all of a sudden you have to have a reason to smoke weed besides enjoying it's effects?  Getting drunk is infintely more dangerous than smoking weed and a desire to get drunk and party is self-validating, while the mental puppets here and elsewhere can't seem to apply the same logic to smoking weed which history and common sense has taught us is FAR less harmful. 

So yeah, anybody who thinks people should have to cling to a medical status to justify our recreational buzzes and sees nothing wrong with drinking can suck my fuckin' dick.
