Well, if Kerry is truly a man of the modern world, it really shouldn't matter to him. It's just a religion right? A denomination in a faith that is considered by so many intellectuals as equal to believing in Santa Claus. Kerry should just be like, 'Alright Catholic dudes... I don't believe in you either! So there!' But that won't happen, we know it. He'll be a Jack-Catholic, kinda like a non-practicing Mormon, except Catholic, and not Mormon, and he doesn't have holy garments under his shirt, so he couldn't be anyways...

Kerry was excommunicated just because he was a pro-abortionist.He said that a woman is alowed to have a abortion if she wished.What about human rights?

Catholic is a stupid religion.You can have sex with whoever you want.You must attend church every sunday(with I hear that was really boring) and girls have no rights.
In the 17th centurie,the church made people buy expensive books and claimed that you needed this book to go to heaven(they the prests made money).

Even today people dont care about religion.you can claim that god loves me even if you dont go to church.God today is an image that we use as an expresion(like my god).We have become materialist,why spend time at church weh you can spend it at the mall?

And finnaly Kerry is a hero.He fought in Viet-nam,he was awarded awarded s times Purple Heart.
What did Bush do?he failed Harvard,thats what.

Kerry is the man.

ok can someone explain this article to me in not much on american politics and im to lazy to try and figure what the article means. But dont bash what other people place their beliefs in, you have the right to an opinion but use it somewhere else. Im Catholic and the bible wasnt created to make money whoever was the idiot who said that and you dont need it to go to heaven, another point is you dont have to go to church every sunday, you can go whenever you want without going to hell, its just as long as you dont lose your faith or break a commandment.

^christianism is what created this world as we know it. what you think is right or wrong , what everybody think is right or wrong comes from popes and catholicism. no one can contest that Jesus was the most nice man ever.
was it wrong when catholicism said slavery, hate, gladiators, racism was bad????
one more stuff about catholic hierarchy: you got to understand ONE thing: the Pope tells us what's the BETTER to live and how to go to heaven. after that, everyone can follow or not what he says. that's the reason why for catholic hierarchy, there' s NO unforgivable fault. If hitler or stalin were really sorry of what they did, they could have avoided hell.
catholicism=everybody can be or become good.

ps: about abortion: i really hope for women who abort that science will never get a mean to prove a foetus is already a human being deserving respect of his life. so they would be , as the state, murderers, the worsts ever.

but as a catholic, i think everyone is free to follow his way, even if i think it's a bad one, even if i try to make them understand it.
and, why allowing abortion would be better than to think it should be forbidden coz it's not respecting life?

christianity! this is just silly, the only reason they are talking about excommunicating him is because he is a public figure. And kerry has said (if you bothered to watch the debates) that he was personally not for abortion, but it is not his place to take away a right that has been upheld in the courts. our country has separation of church and state, religious morals and rules should not come into play when making laws. you can say all you want about this country being founded in christianity bu the founding fathers also made it a point to separate religion from government.

there are plenty of catholics out there who belive in thr right to choose but you dont see them being excommunicated do you? heck there are plenty of catholics who have had abortions!

about abortion: that's almost what i said. the Pope lets you free to do what you want, you will just have to explain your choices to God one day ... and it's gonna engage your eternity ...

about abortion, i can understand when a girl got rapped, out of that, everybody knows how you make children. today, having an unwished kid is excuseless to me. i can't understand people refusing the opportunity to a human being to live ... sometimes people should assume their acts ...

first of all get your facts straight. Kerry has not been excommunicated, yet. if the catholic church excommunicated every member who had beliefs contrary to the bible there would only be about 5 catholics in the world. and has anybody else noticed that John Kerry has never said he 'is' catholic. all he ever says is he 'grew up' catholic. what an idiot
