Emerald Iridium vs. Dark Grey

I have a dark grey lens and it works pretty well from sunny to partly cloudy I'm wondering about how versatile emerald iridium is compared to dark grey. Thoughts?

Emerald Iridium has a very low VLT and actually allows less light to travel through the lens than the Dark Grey does. The Emerald might work well for partly cloudy days but it's nowhere near as versatile as the HI Persimmon or the vr50 Pink Iridium.
