not at fast speeds, but i've definitely fallen over holding a glidecam+camera. I'm pretty anal about my camera though, I had that shit well off the ground in cat like reflex time. Take the hit with your body and camera swapped to other hand extended into the air.

walking with a tripod and and my t2i out on rocks to get some surfing shots because i couldn't surf when i had a broken sternum, slipped on a rock and landed in water on my butt/back almost dropped my baby in the water

my camera has been dropped. while glidecamming and following me (we both film and were taking turns) coming off a knuckle i was hitting the jump and my buddy caught the slushy shit pot hole in between tranny's and caught an edge and took a digger with my camera. cut his hand pretty good but saved the camera. only lost one of the small rubber bands on my rodemic

I didnt hit jumps with my glidecam, but i did quite a bit with my hvx, check out slow! i have a few shots following ware and wyble

Well seeing as you can barely support a glidecam and camera with one arm while walking i dont think you'd be able to hold up going off a jump.

Not while holding it, but 2 years ago I had a 1D mk2 that I was borrowing from my Uni in a backpack, along with several 'cheaper-ish' lenses. We were skiing out to a location to get some shots, and we hauled ass to get there before the spot was hit by anyone else. Ended up clipping an exposed tree branch and ate major shit.

Camera body lived. 2 lenses did not. Thank god they were just basic zooms, and the school had them insured haha. No having to replace any red ring monsters.

I have fallen skating with my t2i - pebble stopped my wheels and I went straight over. tuck n rolled to save the camera from certain death by pavement.
yet to drop it/fall skiing. *knock on wood*.
i've fallen countless times with gopros not that those really count.

I was followcamming on a bumpy road with my 5D on a longboard. Did that for about thirty seconds until I just said fuck this, didn't actually fall haha (thank god). I may buy insurance on my camera for next season, does anyone know if it is actually good coverage for something like falling and breaking it?

the coverage I have is through best buy's geek squad. They basically told me as long as I dont completely submerge the camera in water, or bring it to them in a hundred pieces they will replace it on the spot.

I have, skiing switch shooting someone on a rail, there was a snow drop off/ledge behind me and skied right off of it. Slammed my 60D off of the corn snow and all was ok, but it was extremely scary.

I was doing some street photography in Amsterdam. with my Zenit-11 and Helios 44.

I saw some guy in a crazy outfit, walked around looking trough my viewfinder trying to get focus.

Tripped over a random guide wire, fell and the front element of the lens hit the corner of a random exposed brick: crack.

Didn't notice until I came home that my front element was missing.

Fully cased bottom jump in South Park at mam (around 35+ feet) followcaming with 5dmkii on monopod with 501 head. Camera bounced out of my hands another 15 feet down landing on impact. My head / face hit the ground smashing goggle lens and slight concussion. Broke lens hood on 17-40 and tripod plate tore the bottom plate on the camera about 1/4 inch out and some snow got inside the gap. Broke the card door off as well. Put the camera in a bag of rice for a day and has worked fine since then.

no its not, you're just retarded and just took offense to someone's factual statement. try glidecamming around your house with one hand. it doesnt work that way, you need a second to point it in a direction. And I bet $10 you can not jump without using one hand for balance in air

Thats such a dope edit and I always noticed the boarder fall when i used to watch it its funny that its someone on here lol

Ive dropped my gopro literally a million times but have yet to fall with my camera but my dad has when he was shooting me on a rail he fell off of a ledge after it and didnt know it was there but he managed to save the camera

first shot in this "edit" I dropped the gopro and it rolled for sooo long and almost went into a creek at the bottom of the run
