ive gone to catholic school my whole life. i know everything you believe in and probably better than you(no offense im not trying to pick a fight). ive taken theology classes for 14 years and to tell you the truth, christianity is complete bullshit. the bible is really really fake. after reading the gospels over and over every year for class you pick up on things and they seem more fake every year. ive never once in my life experienced god and i am fairly positive there is no god and the bible is just a story book with warped facts. when we die, we die. we are gone forever. thats it. go watch some videos of bill maher or other smart atheists discussing our beliefs

Atheism is as much of a joke as any religion. (depending on how you go about it.)

but seriously,

it's an old ass book....what do atheists have?

the religion threads are fucked that is the only reason why i'm interested in this one hahaha! but still, it's all close together. it seems like there is something going on aside from our lives. The "book" on atheism is pretty much the newest religion.

atheists believe in just as crazy uh shit as anyone else. it's best we all sorta get along.

plus, I was raised mormon, I wouldn't have had it any other way, I question a lot of every religion everyday,

but, most people are extremely uninformed about a lot of it ALL. (not just mormonism/christianity)

thats not even what science is all about. nor is atheism.

this "you dont have it figured out" argument is horseshit. one side relies on 2000 year old books, while the other constantly adapts and improves its understanding of the world, enabling progress in all aspects.

obviously, some questions will be left unanswered, but thats not a real argument.


just because science has problems with some underlying questions which are probably BEYOND the scope of science, it doesnt mean that religion is morally and logically on equal footing with science.
