Step-Ups vs. Chronics (Yep this thread again)

What's up NS?

I need some help. I got a warranty for my last years Step-Ups (edge popped out) and am trying to figure out if I go with the Step-Ups or Chronics.

I love how the Step-Ups ski and their specs. My concern is that it was 3 weeks into skiing them when the edge popped out and I had to send them back for warranty. Although it was a "defect" with the ski, I'm still worried about durability. Line is basically allowing me to get them again or a ski the same price or less as replacement, so I have the option of looking at the Chronic. I however don't really know if its worth the risk of going to the Chronic or to just tick with what I know I like. Any help or input on durability?

Stats:

Height: 5'11 (I was on the 181's)
Weight: ~165 lbs
Park: Jumps and Rails

They are both good skis, I think the deckwall construction is the best out right now, capwall is not far behind imo. The chronics are a great ski as well, you will have fun on both.
