How do you find a graphic artist?

Hey im looking for someone to do some graphic design work for me, i need a symbol/logo created and possibly business cards, ive found places that advertise for graphic artists online, but im looking more for people that can create super original symbols/logos, instead of people that just make shit look pretty, if that makes any sense.

anyone know where to look? i was even thinking it would be sweet to like hire an actual artist, to draw out/ paint something.
