The bears are thriving don't worry, you can sleep well tonight knowing that all 9,000 some permits issued in her state last year only harvested about 4,000 bears. In a state that has a growing population of over 22,000 black bears there are plenty of them still alive in the forest. That's 9,000 permits out of over 100,000 applicants mind you.

Every bear killed is checked at a weigh station, aged, and examined to gather more information about the bear population in the great state of Wisconsin.

There ain't a shortage of bears up there trust me. They are actually spreading into southern Wis. at a higher number than reported in the last decade.

It was a respected past time until technological advances made it so fucking easy for some people. The fat shits that can barely walk that still seem to be able to bag big game due to their equipment piss me off.

I really have no problem with hunting, its a necessary part of en eco system, due to the fact we have killed of many species natural predators.

I love it. I can imagine it filmed and edited by Wes Anderson will cute lil bear hunting clothes, a ridiculous set, and snap shots of the hunt.

Fat shit's have been bagging big animals since the flashpan muzzleloader of the 1700s. I'd bet the native americans that turned to arrows and bows were considerabley fatter than the ones that used to run down deer with knives and spears. I totally only respect hunters that hide in a tree with a big rock and kill their prey that way. We're talking on an electronic box connected to wires that span around the fucking globe and you're shit talking technology??

No, it was a respectable sport up until maybe 30 years ago when fat shits decided everyone should go to the grocery store for all their meat and that killing an innocent poor forest dweller was some kind of sin. It may be easier but the fundamental teachings and quality experience are still the same in many ways as they have been for thousands of years. Those that don't hunt are missing a giant piece of the experience of life IMO.

I don't see anyone crying for the mouse that gets caught in a house or shed to stop it from chewing up all your gear and food. How is controlling a bear population any different??

Coyotes are a pain in the ass, which is why in most states they don't even have a closed season. Hell some states pay you to shoot them.

My point was that if we don't hunt many animals will over populate and move into areas they shouldn't be. Where I live we have deer, foxes and other wild animals that live in the middle of neighborhoods. Hitting animals with cars is an expensive head ache and downright dangerous. Hunting is a great way to keep the population in check. It's not like people just go out and kill as many of whatever animal they want. there is a set limit of tags given out that is based on the animal's population and well being.

err that's what happened to humans. just cause a deer walks into your backyard doesn't mean his deer buddies, and trees, and a general lack of pollution, weren't there thousands of years before your house was. if anything, they should be the ones hunting us because we over-populated and ruined the entire planet.

That is nothing, we get black bears in the 6-700 pound range in the mid atlantic states all the time.

I would hope she at least had to watch the gutting and work that comes after you pull the trigger. That part I'll agree is kinda lame if she didn't. Hell I'd let my 11 year old shoot an animal but I'd make em work afterward.

i never said a thing about technology, in fact i think better technology is the only option seeing as how we aren't all going to kill ourselves. but i think you'd have to be pretty narcissistic to think of humanity as anything better than a parasite.
