Replying to Wool socks vs cotton socks

does anybody else hate wool socks? i always wear cotton socks cause the wool socks always make my feet sweat and then theyre cold and wet. i guess cotton socks wicker away sweat better. does that mean cotton socks make your liner wear out quicker? i dont know why anyone would wear different socks for skiing then they would for any sport, which is why i dont understand why wool socks are what you are supposed to wear in ski boots as opposed to cotton ones.
anybody else wear regular cotton socks for skiing?
