If Obama resigned now, Biden would be president until the election, which would still happen even if the candidates change their mind. Ron Paul isn't even running so I'm not sure how this scenario could possibly end up with him in office.
Also that video reminded me just how fucking retarded parts of our constitution are. I always think it's ridiculous when someone says something is right just because it's in the constitution (don't get me wrong, most of it's good, but it isn't divinely inspired). Slavery was in the constitution and that was a bad idea. We should ask if the things in the constitution are right, not just assume they all are.
For example, the electoral college is fucking stupid. I also think there's no point in having a house of congress that is totally unrepresentative of the people. Why does each voter in Alaska have 50x the sway in the senate of a voter in california?
