ON3P Filthy Rich vs. Jeronimo

I'm 6'3, 170 lbs, and have been skiing my way too small 161 armada ar6 for years. Even though they are so small, I still thought they were very fun since I could spin off anything, and manuver really well, however I finally convinced myself that they were too short and am going to get new skis. I'm mainly gonna be skiing park and chop with occasional groomers to get to the bottom when it's the only route.
Out of these skis I am kinda leaning towards the filthy rich because if their low swing weight, but if you guys can convince me that the jeronimos can slay rails, and throw 720's off small ass jumps, then I guess I'm sold.
Also, are the jeronimos really that much better in chop and variable conditions, or will the filthy riches be fine?
P.S. I will have the caylors so I'm looking for a more park oriented ski that will be a nice second ski for the caylors.

Pretty simple question, really...
How much skiing will you be doing outside the park?
If you are going to be skiing Caylors on good days and then in the park 90% of the rest of the time, the FR is a great ski. It will get you too and from the lift, but it really isn't designed to be skied aggressively in any sort of variable snow.
If you want something that is park capable, but that is still able to ski outside the park, the Jeronimo is really the better choice. Compared to the FR, it really is that much better in chop and variable conditions. Way more stable, more comfortable at speed, better float, better power. With that comes extra weight and width that will make some aspects of park skiing more difficult relative to the FR. But the jmo is more than capable of hitting rails and jumps all day long. It will require a bit more effort in the air and won't have the swing weight of the FR, but outside the park there really is no comparison.
At your size, if you actually plan on skiing hard in variable snow, the jmo really is the better ski. Just a matter of what you value. If most of your time will be spent in the park, the advantages of the FR will matter more. If you are one of those guys who is in and out of the park all day and wants something that can rip crud and hit rails and booters after, the Jeronimo is going to offer a more complete package.
Jmo + Caylor, to me, leaves you covered for everything.
FR + Caylor sort of leaves a bit of an everyday gap, as the caylor can be a bit wide for hard days, but on hard, non-park days the FR just cannot keep up with the Jmo.
Hope that helps. Give us a call if you have any other questions - 503-206-5909.

Wow I didn't think that I would be convinced but it happened. Sounds like jeronimo is the way to go. But what size should I get? Do you think I will overski the 181?

Possibly. Depends how hard you are driving them. The 181 is pretty stable and you aren't very heavy, but at 6'3" you are going to be able to leverage the ski pretty well.
If you asked out of the blue, I would say go 186cm. It will be a bit more to handle in the park, but outside it will ensure you can push the ski a bit harder and enjoy a bit more stability at speed.

Yeah 186 sounds like the way to go, but I guess I was just worried about if I can spin it since I do ski a fair amount or park and some urban. Well it looks like I gotta stop being a pussy, suck it up, and learn how to spin with the 186. lol

Do you realize that you aren't getting help from some random NSer, you're getting help from the founder of ON3P?! Say thank you to Scott!

I do realize that, and I also realize that he is probably THE most helpful person on NS. Big thanks to you (probably should have said it earlier). Your constructive reviews are one of the main reasons that I am going all ON3P this season. Keep it up! I think I am going to go with the 181 Jeronimo.
