Ski Bindings

Hey guys i have just a few quick questions that need answers. I have used the search bar with little results.
- What binding?/What DIN?
- Where to find cheap bindings?
- What size brakes?

Info about me
- 5"11 145 lbs
- Line Stepups 171cm (the middle width is 86mm)
- Second year skiing, first year park
- Im as agressive as a park skier can be
- I will be hitting up to 60 ft jumps

These are the two bindings i have found

would the 100mm brakes be too big and catch when i carve?

Get a 90mm break. I also you suggest getting these bindings, http://www.evo.com/outlet/alpine-ski-bindings/look-px-12-jib-medium-90mm-brakes.aspx but i also dont know your price range. these binding have great reviews

First off where are you hitting 60ft booters in WI? Second, video tape when you do.

The bindings your looking at are cheap and geared toward beginners. If your really planning to go big or aggressive in the park here are some recommendations.

Some people say the PX/Axial series brakes break easy on heavy loaded switch landings. I Have them on my AR7s but I don't hit big jumps switch. All of these are good for what you want.
 
100 mm brakes would catch some.

Get binding brake bigger than 86mm. Don't go larger than 90mm brake. On all the bindings I recommended will work perfect for brake size.

The first bindings you linked are a good choice. Also you can't go wrong with most Markers. As for websites checkout skis.com. I would get a 90mm brake and keep your din around 6, move it up as you progress

^^ 50kal Granite Peak. They say its a 60 but i think its more around a 50 . Id also prefer to pay not much more than $100 on bindings

90 mm brake is fine.

Than why are you making this thread? The only bindings at that price are the rossignol 100l model, and trust me from experience, don't get them. Put in the extra 50 and get some legit bindings. But if you insist,

If your gonna be hitting 50 foot kickers more than a half a dozen times I hope you spend more than a hundred dollars on bindings. Really if you go to cheap they will explode on impact. Doesn't matter how perfect you land. If it's not sturdy enough, its gonna blow up. Hell I dont know anyone hits a 30 footer with out at least a 12 din on there feet.

sorry to bump this but i did some more research and i was wondering about the Mark Squires?

Would these last me two seasons? I've heard that if your too heavy and you last switch on a bigger feature you can brake the to piece. Apparently they are hard to get the heel of your boot in. What are your thoughts?

Squires are also known to have problems with exploding. Also, if you're really hitting 50/60 footers, and you're 5'11", shouldn't you really be on something longer than a 171. And if you can hit 60 foot park jumps in your second year on skis I applaud you and hope to see you on tv in about 2 more. Anyway, if you look up at te top of this forum (and every forum you decide to post in), there's a set of threads with the word 'sticky' next to them. These are threads people have deemed helpful/important enough to keep them at the top of the forum for ever. Read every sticky thread before EVER making a thread in a given forum; chances are it already answers your question. This thread could have easily never been made had you read the sticky called 'the answer to what binding questions' or something like that. Long story short: read the sticky(s) and stop making unnecessary threads

1. You should probably have longer skis
2. Squires blow and are meant for smalling/lighter skiers
3. If your waist is 86mm then get 90mm brakes..

STH 12 drivers with 90mm brakes. Thats the way to go if you are on a budget.
