Ski edge crack fixes

while tuning for the season i found a few cracks in my edges underfoot. you can see they are slightly starting to peel away from the ski leaving some air space between the edge and the sidewall/base. In the past I have used a hammer and a metal scraper (to put between edge and hammer) and pounded it in place then used p-tex to fill in the gaps so water/ice dont fill the gap, expand, make the edge peel away more. This process slows things down pretty well. what Im wondering is.....

does anyone have their own or any better ways to keep and edge from peeling away from the ski?

lets try not to turn this into a salomon hate thread, my skis aren't even salomon

I just recess little screws into the base between the flaps of steel that hold the edge in place, then base weld over the screws. Ill see if i can get some pics up...gotta grab my buddy's skis that have that repair.

id try to use some heavy duty clamps and a strong poxy. maybe jb weld. i used jb weld to fix my ski tips from splitting last year and that worked good. hope this helps you
