Well first off,you need cameras.Two or three cameras will do the trick.position 1 guy in front of the hit and the other under or beside the hit.(those are the best shots.)
Follow cams are not a good idea if the camera man is new.The 3 camera is the backup incase one camera fails.

Second, a crowd is good to have if your doing sick trick(corks flip ect.).

Ok for the editing,if you dont have XP,just download a editing program.(MAKE SURE THAT YOUR COMPUTER CAN INPUT VIDEO otherwise you look pretty stupid)
Tricks for the editing is to be orginal,never put more than 2 exact jump and trick one after the other.Try not put put bails in segments,only at the end.Put a noname song.Put a song that correspond to your style and steeze.Mix the trick,urban,half pipe and rail.Try not to film in the dark.

With these tips,your movie is going to be great!

make sure you have plenty of video tape to tape with...and duct tape, and batteries.


the video tape is key though.

Freestyler had some good tips. Heed this advice: STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER! It is the single worst piece of editing software ever made. lol. Of course i've been spoiled, i use FinalCut Pro4, which is only compatible with Macintosh, and althought I hate the Mac system, the editing software is AMAZING.

Few more tips; try to get unique shots. Step out of your skis and walk around abit. Get under shots, those always look cool. Use natural framing, like trees etc. Get a decent video camera as well...the one mom and pops use to tape you opening presents at X-mas probably wont do if you want a decent looing video.

Dont use cheesy effects or transistions, keep it simple and sycronized. get a mac, they do wonders editing.

windows movie maker isnt actually that bad, u just need to weed thru shit 2 get actuall editign tools. but there is obviously better

ha! thanks yeah i heard to use Adobe Pro Premier i think i will download that today, but i have a prob i dont have the 2,000$ layin around for a Sony VX1000 and that is what everyone says to get

no dude, definitely mix in bails with the regular segments. its much better that way

yeah, but i mean you cant over load it with bails in the main film other wise people would get tired of watching and think the dude sucks

Get a Canon GL1, in my opinion it's better than the Sony. I've had one for almost a year now and i just LOVE it.
