Help me with this exporting problem for Candy :)

Has anyone else ever dealt with this?

I film with a t2i, edit with fcp7, and use MPEG streamclip to compress my edits for the internet.  Everything plays back just fine in fcp, but when I export from fcp and open it in MPEG streamclip a ton of frames freeze, and there's also these weird grey pixelated glitches.  That's the best way i can describe it, i'll post an example below, which is the only other time this has happened. Anyways, there's a bunch of frozen frames and weird pixelated glitches in the edit i'm trying to export now, and i'm not sure if it's my camera, editing software, or MPEG streamclip that's causing it....any help will be appreciated!

Yes! i'll try, but i'm not very tech saavy, and i do things weird because i used to use a gopro, and used to have fcp5 so i still do stuff the same although I probably don't have to.

My gopro is my sd card reader, so i plug that in, and use MPEG streamclip to save all the shots i'm going to keep.  I names those, and export them from MPEG as Apple ProRes 422 into a folder. Then I import all the named shots into FCP. Make my edit. Set in an out points, then go File -> export -> to Quicktime Movie. Then i open the quicktime movie into MPEG and usally compress it to H.264 as my final version.

You can just export h264 out of fcp or use quicktime pro (I recommend this over mpeg) might fix your issues.

thanks! i used to export/compress straight out of fcp but started using MPEG because i think i can get the files smaller. but i haven't exported out of fcp in a while so i'll give it another shot...totally forgot about that

I've not used Fcp, but surely you can just set the bitrate when exporting to the same as whatever comes out of mpeg? Then you don't need it at all
