I asked a particular girl to homecoming this year that I like. She is aware of this and she said yes. Im all excited and happy because, well, I like her. Out of the blue, like 3 days after I have continually been seeing her at school with a guy that I know she used to be friends with. So Im like ok, whatever, until this goes on 3 straight weeks and I found out they were hanging out last weekend, which she lied to me about, because I was going to stop by her house and say hi, but she said her parents werent home and I couldnt come. She still claims that she wants me to take her to homecoming though. What is going on here? Can someone translate this please.
Tldr: ask girl I like to homecoming, she says yes, is now talking and hanging out with another guy, still wants to go to homecoming with me.

I think the friend zone remark Is towards the fact that she's ditching him ignoring him to chill with another guy in which case he may have been. Sorry bro your dance is probably gonna be shitty if you're counting on making a date out of it because she seems into another dude. Go I the dance with her and get down with some other chicks. She'll get it. Just don't hang all over her and e like why did you do this you'll look like a puss and no girl wants that, they want someone everyone else wants which is easy for her to see if you're boogying with some fly honeys naw mean. You're not her boyfriend don't get mad like you are. It's like a shitty preview of what she'll be getting if she's with you which will get you nowhere.

Yo you arent in the freind zone dont worry about that she said yes to going to homecoming with you then she must be intrested in you play it chill invite her places do small nice things for her play in chill and draw her away from this other guy have confidence but be nice but not to nice tease her or joke around with her some just so she knows you arent going to let her walk all over you because your too nice girls like to do that kinda stuff be confident,play it cool and dont show your cards.
