Replying to Fks 18 cheeper than fks 14

So I found a pair of fks 18 bindings for 260$ online, the fks 14s are usually 300$. So my question is can i use the fks 18 at its lowest din setting? I set my dins at 8 wich is the minimum on an fks 18 and i have heard from some peoplethat it is ok to do this and others say it is not ok, The only reason i am even considering this binding is because it is cheaper The otherworrie i have that the waist of my skis is 85mm and the bindings are 95mm +k for any help
