computer help please!!!

hey ay help here would be appreciated.

obviously im not writing this on my computer. i tried to download an addon for adobe photoshop from limewire. but it wouldnt extract properly so i deleted it. my computer then started running really slow so i restarted it. this is where the shit hits the fan. i typed in my password at the login screen and it logged in. after it had stopped loading all i could see was my desktop (this big pick of T Schill corked out with a sweet mute grab). and when i go control+alt+delete it wont let me go into my task manager. i can click on all the other buttons. like i can click on shut down, log out, lock computer, change password but i cant press the task manger button. so im pretty fucked.

i really dont want to restore my computer either so any help please

please please.

if any of you ever come to NZ then i will hook you up big time. i just really want my compuyter to work.

when you start yur computer does it ever give you the option to start normally or in safe-mode..if not then jsut wait for someone a bit smarter to answer...only things besides that i could think is a restore

hit f8 pretty much repetedly in boot up. you'll get this list of options, select safe mode

ummmm, system restore if you can. quick and simple if you have a recent backup.

what i'd do would be to reinstall windows, but that's because i do that stuff all the time, idk how comfy with that you'd be.

if you only have 1 partition, yup. if you don't know what a partition is, take it to the nearest shop
