Yeah what was the criteria worst wars ever started? I mean come on. That being said he was one of the best presedents at politics and got the civil rights act through.Also what the fuck is woodrow wilson doing on that list he was one of the most racist presidents ever.

Dude, that's my brother in 7th or 8th grade, lol, why do you assume that is me. Did you get that from his old photo/video blog on wordpress or some shit. But my point is I don't think you're stupid in terms of politics(you are probably well educated in it and know more than me), I think you're stupid to get so heated on it when we are on a skiing forum, and also to completely say Obama has done NOTHING. I am sorry, I said that though. No need to get upset, I was up most of the night and was really tired and I overreacted completely and looked like a dumbass.

Also the reason I haven't "come back" until now is because I have a life outside NS and was skating all day in Boston.

My point is (or lack there of) saying Obama did nothing makes no sense, regardless of whether you like him or not, I agree he shouldn't be on the list though, and I don't want to get into an argument about that because that defeats the purpose of my post. As for my real age, I am only 15, (I am still interested in Politics and know a decent amount about it.) so i shouldn't be talking about this shit, and was stupid to even say that, but arguing about it will get you nowhere and I've seen way too many of these arguments. that end in copy and pasted essays/articles or threads that die out. I basically was saying why bother argue?, and that saying Obama has done absolutely nothing is ignorant or a little harsh as others in this thread have said.

I am truly sorry I was being a dick and calling you an idiot for thinking that, but I disagree completely (however as I said earlier I don't agree with the Newsweek list at all). It was immature to call you an idiot, but please no need to get so upset.

If this comes off angry it is not, I only wish to apologize for my stupid post and explain it. I hope that you neglect that post and move on, because it was dumb. Peace to you man.

You are right, my "better shit to do" comment includes writing a lab report and studying. My bad if I don't want to argue politics on the internet. We both know it's not going to get us anywhere, especially on NS. For the record I am registered independent and agree with both sides on different issues.

History is kind to presidents. People remember what they want to remember. Reagan is now a GOP hero, Clintons favorables are at there highest ever. Its not a coincidence the older ones are at the top.

im not seeing anything you posted about 200 good things. anyway, just to please you, i did go look up a list of 100 things he's done, and more than half of them i disagree with, probably 1/4 is just meaningless BS mentioned to make the list look better. there were maybe 10 things i actually thought were decent things he's done.

i guess the better thing to say would be, how has Obama improved America. you're right, he has done things, but its extremely debatable whether or not they have helped.

You are an idiot. First of all, that list is pretty accurate. What other president's are you going to put on there? Taft, Carter, Hoover, GWB and GHWB are your other choices. There is an argument for GHWB to be on there but not really. Secondly, to say Obama did nothing shows how uninformed you are. He happened to manage the worst financial crisis since October of 1929 plus passed possibly the most influential social legislation since LBJ's Great Society plan and all that it encompassed. I am not sure that this is "absolutely nothing".

Dude I was just posting something I found interesting, I didn't mention anything about whether he increased debt or not, chill the fuck out. Saying you don't care about the article gives me the impression that trying to talk to you about politics would be pointless because of how one sided you are. seriously, you should have seen my school during the 2008 election, so many people with obama shirts and stickers and pins, i wouldnt be surprised if i heard him being black a legit reason for voting for him a couple hundred times. it sucks, but his race probably is a huge factor for gaining a huge amount of votes.

Cant argue with #1. IMO one of the top Presidents ever for what he accomplished.

But I have a large issue with Obama being judged before this and IMO unfortunately his next term are over.

Cant do anything about that though. He is more of a celebrity than a president now in some peoples eyes. The way some people talk about him here you would think he is the Black Jesus.

Quality post. There were multiple presidents who were slave owners, among other things, yet America considers them to be among the greatest ever.

I would definitely have to agree with the historians' listing the Roosevelts in the top slots. I'd also agree with Clinton and Kennedy, but I feel that Carter should be in there, too. He did some really great things for Alaska (in my opinion; many of you would disagree). I wouldn't put Reagan so high.

As one of those "uninformed" college kids you speak of, I believe that there are some people that are uninformed but many that are extremely well informed. I read BBC(about as centered as it gets for news) everyday and also generally read The Washington Post daily. On top of this, I watch Stewart and Colbert every monday-thursday night. To call me uninformed is just false. I will follow with some examples of why you shouldn't call all of us uninformed.

Regarding your point about the debt, I would like to say that even though Obama did campaign on debt reduction no one knew at that time the trouble that the economy was in. When an economy os doing shitty, the only cure is to push money in and get things rolling again. You can't expect it to magically get better while simultaneously reducing federal spending. It is not a bad time for us to be borrowing debt. The interest rate on our debt is extremely low right now thanks to our strong bonds which are also keeping interest rates low for everyone thanks to the Feds quantitative easing policy. In regards to his social policy, I would simply like to ask you to explain to me as to why "Obamacare" is bad for the country.

And to you my good sir, I would like to challenge you to try to get informed through means other than those related to fox news. Don't turn Rush on the radio or watch Fox news for a month. Instead, read BBC and maybe watch Colbert/Stewart so that you can find humor in the mess that is politics but also learn to form your own opinion and become less of a fucking prick racist. borrowing when you are already massively in debt... sure its a must but not at the rate we are doing it and who gives a fuck about interests rates when you are already in the hole as far as we are.

get a grip dude, you arent getting great information for comedy shows.

just do a simple search of Obamacare taxes and you will get information immediately from no biased sources that break down how Obamacare is being paid for, its fucked. have fun.

Didn't bother reading the thread, as people were already being dumb in the first few posts, to those saying 'how is Obama on there,' it is simple, there have been 20 presidents since 1900, that means he is in the top half. If you were in a race with 100 people, and finished 50th does that mean you did good? No. Just because he is in the top 10 presidents since 1900 doesn't mean it did a good job, all it shows is how shitty the US is at picking/producing good politicians anymore.

How? I didn't comment on a single president on the list?...I haven't said my opinion on Obama, or Clinton or Raegan or anyone, I'm just saying being in the top 50% doesn't mean anything. Over the past 100 years, the US hasn't done a good job of electing presidents.

I don't know what changed, but if you look at the first 20 presidents, and compare them to the last 20 presidents, what group would you say was better overall? Maybe that is because history looks more favorably over time, but I'm not sure what I don't know about...
