So this last weekend I had the chance to get to go and shoot the Freestyle.ch, it was an epic experience and I had a ton of fun.

It was the first time that I really used my Canon 7D since I got it a few weeks back.

This is what I ended up with at the end of each day after 2-3 hours of editing.

So now I'm asking you NS, what could I do better next time I do an edit ? (my videos are the ones that are a bit flat light, the other bright ones are from my friend Tamara)

Okay so :

While filming everything went pretty well, just had a dust on my sensor Saturday. Other than that I quickly learned to often change places (at least when filming at the top). Also found a ladder near the jump so I was stocked to use that to get a different angle.


While editing what didn't go so good was the sorting out off all the media, I in some cases had ski and snowboard mixed up and an other little thing that bugged me was that I felt that I was always using the same cuts (shot from top to slowmo - shot from bottom in slowmo) . And a little other thing was that my friend didn't have the "cinestyle" color corrector in her camera so not all the shots look the same.

In general I'm pretty happy with the outcome.

I liked your edits much more than any of the other ones that came out of the competition, I think you had the best portrayal of each trick and I enjoyed the slo-mo so that you could really see what was happening. I would have liked to see the names of each rider, even though most people on NS can pick them out, it would have been nice to more easily identify who was who along with their score.

yeah the only problem i had with the edits were the angles. but every year all of the city big airs are the same angles so i just assume there isnt much you can do about it

Thanks, I'm stocked you liked it :)

I was thinking about adding the names of the riders but decided not to add it cuz it was late, NS wanted some videos and there was an afterparty waiting for me ;) But next time I will probably do that.

For the scores, I'm not so sure how to do it, I could add a list at the end of the video with the riders and their points. But adding the score for each jump would be kinda strange since I'm not showing all the runs. But I will definitely add that list next time.
