Mitt Romney thinks you should be able to roll down the windows on airplanes

This isn't really a substantive election issue so much as a really, really funny quote.

"When you have a fire in an aircraft, there’s no place to go, exactly, there’s no — and you can’t find any oxygen from outside the aircraft to get in the aircraft, because the windows don’t open. I don’t know why they don’t do that. It’s a real problem. So it’s very dangerous."

There are some things that it is understandable and forgivable to not know; an elementary understanding of how airplanes work is not one of those things.

for most of us there's a big difference between the dna of sea urchins and knowing why you don't open windows on airplanes, but hey if you don't think Mitt Romney's an idiot then i'm sure he'd be happy to know it, you guys could hang out and not know things together.

He doesn't actually say "I think we should be able to roll down airplane windows whenever we want."

Pretty sure he meant in an emergency while on an aircraft, Plus he said "I don’t know why they don’t do that." Doesn't necessarily mean he wants them to, I mean it's probably because his wife was on a plane they had to make an emergency stop on.

He's not saying oxygen will help put out the fire..... He's saying he thinks open windows on a plane during an emergency is a good idea because there was no clean air on the plane during the fire... Thus why his wife was rubbing her eyes and choking.

Stick head out window= Fresh air?..

don't get me wrong. I hate Romney. But I don't think a president has to know everything. He said "I don't know why". I am assuming someone would tell him why and he would realize it's not a real problem. He probably wasn't thinking clearly either.

He IS an idiot though.
