sorry, converts slr lenses to dslr bodies, so you can spend like 50 bucks on an awesome lens setup

Oh. Yeah a lot of people on here do. I've never heard it called a generation converter though, I always just heard the term adapter. I use old manual focus nikon and minolta glass on my GH2 and its great. A lot of people with Canon bodies adapt old Pentax or Nikon glass.
