Help Shipping Outerwear from Canada to US

So I won a contest last year, and the prize was a jacket and pants from The North Face. The only problem is that the contest was for residents of Canada only and I didn't know that until I won. The North Face representative said they would love to send me the outerwear straight to the US instead of me trying to find a friend in Canada who can take it for me, but it's almost impossible to send apparel across the border. Does anyone have any advice or know of an easier way to get this than trying to get it to a friend in Canada? Thanks.

Shipping out of US is differenf than (Other country) -> US. Read up on this. http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/travel/vacation/kbyg/prohibited_restricted.xml#TextilesandClothing. May help out.

Maybe they will give you a fat discount. Maybe like a voucher for a free setup or something.

it makes me happy that for once a resident of the US shares all Canadians' rage with shipping anything across the border.

i still don't see how you would have a problem. Your just recieving a gift. At most you might have to pay duty.

If they send as an exchange ir a gift it should work, bought a krew jacket from karmaloop and they can't ship krew to canada, had it shipped to my address in NY. They send the wrong size and I realize it when I was back in Montreal. Email them and they ship another one in my adress in Canada.

Stay in a motel in Canada, and get it shipped to the motel
All times are Eastern (-5)
