good point, i came across this article and saw that. I felt like romney was hiding something when he released his tax return however because it just seemed too good to be true kind of things. I mean that was a bit over the top of a return.

shit i hate how people hate how he pays less tax than most people. If anything, I respect it. Guy was the CEO of fucking Bain. Doesn't come easy its not handed to you on a plate. I respect the shit out of him for being able to pay less tax, theres always going to be away around it. Hes smart as shit way better than obama

a large majority of very wealthy people do, it lowers their amount of taxable income and they can use it as a tax write-off.

it wasn't all about "let's do something great for a charity!" as you may have thought, and it generally has to do with taxes when millionaires do that

exactly. Romney deserves every single penny he made. The CEO of Bain Capital in Private Equity. 99% of people don't every see a PE job in their lifetime or even the chance of it. He can do with his money what he dam well pleases. It pisses me off os much in todays society how success is so looked down upon. Wealthy people in America today get so much hate from jelous, lazy, and scrutinizing people. Its pathetic and really pisses me off. If anything, respect these people to no ends, and learn from what they have done and attempt to better yourself rather than someone who has already better themselves

Well me being a former mormon i can say that he wrote off some of that charitable donations to the mormon church. There is part of that i could understand if he donated directly to humanitarian aid effort that the mormon church has. However if that donation is just tithing... the mormon church uses that money for their own monetary gain such as building churches, temples, and shopping malls (see City creek shopping mall in SLC utah)


The reason why i should care? Is because he needs to be honest, i mean if they guy was straight up right out of the gate and said yeah i did less taxes i would be totally fine with that. I mean just like every american we want to give as little money as possible to the IRS and get the biggest return back (if we even get one) as possible. I don't care for the Democratic Party anyways (Gary Johnson 2012!!) Its the fact he approached this in such a non honest way that really frustrates me.

And you are right, if America was strictly a business. I would fucking vote Romney in a heart beat. But its not, its a Global power, we have various other concerns, like foreign and domestic policy, social issues, science issues, well you get the point. Romney has just been too wishy washy with his stance on things I don't know what to commit the guy and that to me just frighten's me. Am I saying Obama's better, not at all, but at least I can tell you where he stands.

Instead of sitting on NS and bitching about Mitt Romney pick up a programming book and learn how to program. Then use your fucking brain and program an app or get a programming job and make money.....
