best edges that hold up on rails?

what are your experiences with your skis and rails. How do your edges hold up after a season of jumps and rails. Fujatives? 1080's? Dynastars? rossis? which hold up well? .

I had Line Skogans too and they started to delmainate after 9 days on snow- no rails. So after they started delmainating and they wouldnt give me warrenty, I started to hit rails. Right now, I am sliding on wood; no edges, no pitex.
My Armadas were sick though, they held up REALLY good last year.

Rockwell Edges are the best. They are used by many snowboard manufacturers as well as well as Liberty Skis

4FRNT's have the thickest Rockwell edges on the market. An employee at my local shop just showed me a comparison chart, and 4FRNT was tops.

nah dude, that's not a good analogy. Twin tips should be designed with hitting rails in mind. All the core companys and k2 seem to be on top of the situation. It's the frenchies like dynastar and salomon who are lagging behind.

yea compnies may be puttin in thicker edges, but i guarantee I can still probably wreck any ski on rails after a season. Hitting rails is one of the most destructive things you can do to skis.

if you are smooth on rails and not coming down hard on them then your edges should hold up for a few months, but if ur not smooth or u suck or u land hard on rails then the edge is going to be gone in a day or so

^ what he said. its more the rider not the ski. although more companies are building skis with thicker edges and that can help, it helps heeeeaps if you dont pop up high onto rails and slam down on them. be smooth and most skis will hold up for a while

I wonder what the best width (waist) is best for rails/ ski longevity. My guess is 82 max, not that it makes a difference, just for lasting the longest.

I know line changed to a 2mmx2mm edge for their skis taking more inovation from snowboarding. i saw that some comp i think it was armada is using rockwell(sp?) edges now.

v pros = not solid. My friend's v pros (I skied with him every day last season so I'm not passing down a story I heard) were very very broken after one seasons and even after half a season. A piece of edge and a bit of his base tore out from rails I guess, things just ketp goign wrong. And my other friend lanks on here, his expressions also ddn't hold up on rails at all, I believe it was 5th day of him riding them when he hit a rail and a big section of the edege completely ripped off.

My k2 enemies (the old ones) were really good to me as far as durability, but I'm also light and small, so I guess I dont put that much pressure on them. SO far my 4frnts are doign solid.
