New ski size?

Hey guys, so i'm getting new skis and not sure what size I should be getting. I've been skiing K2 exts that are 159s for the past 2 years, but they're getting a little small. I'm a major all mountain person, but I ski mostly park. Suggestions on a size?

around 175, certainly in the range 171-181 depending on personal preference

in my opinion yes. you might get away with it just about if its a k2 179 (actually 182-3). I'm 3-4 inches shorter than you and 90lbs lighter and i ride 175-178.

I'm about 6'2 155 and I just transitioned from 176's to 181's. Probably going longer with the next pair, around 185's.

I'm definitely liking the longer length.

when i was 5'8" i had 169, but i think you should get 171 or 172. i wouldnt go much bigger tho

i could use some tips as well. I have skis that are 155 now (haha, i know) but ive grown in height a bunch lately so could use a new pair

im used an online size converter (because i had noo idea what 6'4, or 5,2 etc meant) and i figured in five six. (5´6? 5,6? )



ill either get 166's or 175's.

any help? Karma and feedback is rewarded

I think that people on this thread are overlooking the fact that a lot of the decision of what ski length you have is based on ability level and use.

For example: someone who charges cliffs and big mountain lines would want a longer ski than someone who spends most of their time jibbing in the park. As well, someone who has a lot of experience off piste might be able to handle a longer ski than someone who is just starting to dabble into powder skiing.

How much do you weigh? Do you hit more jumps or rails? Do you prefer shorter skis or longer skis?

not sure about my weight actually, havent been on a scale in years actually, but im skinny. Hit more rails than jumps but im trying to even it all out, jump more and rail more.

Dont know actually, always had skis shorter than me.


Oh and i ski ninthwards, getting le comte or henrik harlaut pros a second time, just the length thats an issue here.

If I were you I'd go with 175. Up until last year I always rode shorter skis and when I made the switch I realized how much better skis are that are longer in length.

interesting. i'm 5'7" and i've ridden everything from k2 179's to 169's. going to have to say that my favorite was a k2 174. so about 176 or so
