So much nostalgia in the thread!
Growing up I never really had any interest in racing or any team sports, which at the time in eastern canada was sort of what you did. I would just rip bumps and glades with my Dad at Tremblant. I think around 8 I also picked up snowboarding which at the time (at least for me) was what you did in the park, but that wasn't very fun. I basically quit that and got my first twins in 2005-2006 because I'd always see guys throwing down on the Tremblant XL park the first year it was on Flying Mile and at the spring big air and street rail jam they used to have every spring; Dave Crichton, Gagnier Brothers, etc...
When I was 12 or 13 (2005) I found freeskier podcasts on iTunes and I'd watch all the movie trailers (Anomaly, Push, Yeah Dude!, Atomic 44 Days, Idea/Nimbus) and event coverage they did. I also went to see STEEP at the theatre with my dad when it came to Ottawa, that had a pretty big impact on changing my 'focus' from park back to powder. I found NS after meeting YETI at the Nestea Chill On The Hill at Tremblant in 2009, thats also the day I actually learned to slide rails...
Jossi, Chris, and everyone killed it so hard in this!
