I'll let you guys know my progress periodically. Today's day 5 No porn, no masturbation.

Anyone else ever try quitting?

i watch porn a few times a week and jerk off somewhat regularly and i've found it makes no difference in my sex with my girlfriend. we have awesome sex regardless and i think that's because when i jerk it even if i have porn up i'm still basing most of of my excitement off of her and mental/physical images of her so my climax is based on her and not some milf fucking a black dude

i think it has much more to do with mindset about the girls you are having sex with than it does about porn in general

Fuck.. I haven't been watching porn, but OG masturbation has crept up on me. It's like cancer. In the sense that when it strikes again it comes back HARD (no pun intended lol). This is the 2 week mark for me not beating off. Still going strong. Jerking off isn't a grueling addiction to beat at all. Not that I have had to fight any other bad habits or addictions. It just takes self control. I think I actually feel a bit better but its not a big difference or anything. I never had a problem with porn. I usually would only look at that stuff once or twice a week tops.

well I've been working on it. I'm in between jobs so I've had too much time so I get bored. I've been trying to do it only every other day and I feel pretty good about that. anybody have any experience with coming off of it slowly instead of just cold turkey? But I have definitely noticed some results just slowing down this much.

Dude, don't quit jacking off.

I've gone 8 weeks without, but you should keep blowing the pipe. Really. It's unhealthy not to. Just don't do it with porn (or visual stimulation eg. stories, pictures etc.)

I used to jerk off every day and eventually it kinda got boring, so for the first 2 weeks of college, I only did it once because I was really stressed. Then I started having more sex and now I'm far more tempted to yerk it. It doesn't make sense.

But on the bright side of no jerking it, big loads on girls faces. Its a win.

Alright so I have stopped for 27 days now.

I decided to do this to try and get the mental benifits people talked about. After going nearly 30 days I came to the personal conclusion that it has no effect what so ever on my mood or my productivity. Im thinking about quitting this idea.

Now I am going every two days. I feel good about it. I think I am having more motivation and less time in front of the computer but it may just all be mental. I do feel good about being in control of it though. I feel before I couldn't control it at all. Now I am in control.
