I am looking for a ski that can ski pow amazingly but skill rip back to the lift on groomers. I am 5,10 135 lbs and i am 14 so still growing. I am an aggressive skier and I mostly ski resort but I ski out of bounds alot or glades. I ski in Tahoe and sometimes go to Utah. I need a ski than can stomp 40 foot cliffs and is also very playful. Feel free to throw out other suggestions also.Oh and what binding with the ski you recommend.
both of them are really soft, i've heard the k2 petitor is almost exactly the same as the obsethed, except stiffer. probably better for those cliffs, as well as pretty playful.
probably the opus. Opus has by far the most design thought put into it, as well as most playful. I'd spring on those for sure as long as you dont think stiffness is a big deal
I pretty sure thats regular now. I have a group of friends who ski and im the worst one. I do alot of cat skiing in Utah so i grew used to difficult terrain. Its summer now and i dont have any recordings but i will get a video this winter. Just got a gopro.
Thanks for the help, i think gonna go with the opus. Stiffness wont be an issue at the moment because im not tying to go down big mountains as fast as i can. High speeds on skis scares me still.
And maybe not stomping. More like going off then within the big puff of powder getting up and riding away, but i need a ski that will help. I can stomp like 20 footers regularly.
