Do you think 9/11 is a conspiracy?

Inb4 tinfoil hat meme... I've been thinking on this a lot and doing a bit of research about it but can't really come to a solid conclusion. Theres a decent ammount of occurances and such that can prove it as a conspiracy, but also a good amount to proove against it. I'm hoping this can turn into into some degree of a debate and not a massive shitstorm. Sorry about typos'd I'm on mobile. Discuss.

Maybe not to get oil but to make it so anyone trading in oil has to pay in dollars.
Iraq said they would sell their oil for euro's, we do no want that happening. Look into the "petrodollar". After we ended the gold stranded why would other countries want our dollars?

Right after the towers fell a recycling company came and recycled(destroyed) the debris(evidence), before anyone was allowed to analyze anything. Usually when a big wreak/incident happens, they take pictures look at all the stuff, analyze things and all that jazz.

Also people were just looking for survivors so there's that too, just stuff to think about.

They found melted steal NIST guy claims jet fuel wouldn't do that, didn't say what would just sorta ignored melted steel. Some scientists say they found nano thermite at what was left of the wreckage. Okay if not thermite then thermate. If you say that thermite/thermate is improbable what else melted the steel then?

they didn't destroy it immediately...it was all trucked off to a landfill of sorts, where it was processed in various ways. A lot of it was tested by different people to determine the cause of collapse and so on.

I get the feeling that quite a few of the people in this thread weren't old enough to even remember it happening. Has no bearing on the argument, but I just find it strange that there are now kids in high school who wouldn't remember it.

This I'm 21 and I was in fourth grade and in ny. when it happened. And though I remember seeing it I don't actually remember reading any facts or tests run on the building.

Regardless if it was actually a conspiracy or not...I mean, knowing the elite, it probably was to some extent. I think we can all agree that the American Gov't spewed a ton of propaganda surrounding 9/11 and it really fucked a lot of people over on both sides of the spectrum. America was obviously left shaken and gave up a bunch of civil rights in terms of the Patriot Act and the other idiotic laws that got passed overnight. Water under the bridge, right? The real issue I have is that not all Middle Eastern countries, and their subsequent people, are terrorists that hate the United States. They got painted with this fictitious brush and the damage runs deep. In the end, America likes acquiring resources; therefore, they bent over a couple countries to seize control of them. Who knows, maybe they had the best of intentions, but I have my doubts. Then there's the whole issue with Gaddafi vs. Al Qaeda and not accepting the Greenback in hopes of creating a gold standard over in Libya. Shit just seems fishy to me. Like they always say, "where there's smoke, there's fire."

At the end of the day, if some foreign military invaded your country and were harming your people (regardless of the cause), I'm sure you wouldn't enjoy taking it up the ass, but rather try and shove it back down theirs...or join them...

Like the Pakistan citizens we bomb with drones? Our definition of insurgents with these unmanned drone strikes is pretty stupid, and we admit we have killed citizens accidentally as well.

But i do respect the people that go into our military to let us keep our freedoms. I'm also angry because even with their services things like the patriot act, ndaa, and such were able to be passed.

It looks like today there was an amendment to ndaa 2013 that cancels out the indefinite detention without trial part, so that's a step in the right direction.

the mindblowing way that I heard someone put it was that if 9/11 was our equivalent to pearl harbor in terms of time/aftermath, the war would have ended 7 years ago.


They did some testing which I remember reading about. Stuff like that didn't get much publicity immediately though, because sifting through a pile of steel where almost 3,000 people died apparently doesn't make a good headline.

It's not like the military is paid for by private companies. Taxes, the federal reserves printing press, and some shady shit pay for it.

And many companies have made some fucking bank off the war.


The government is all special interests these days. They don't give a fuck about the individual person. Unless you have a ton of money, it's pretty much fuck you.

I admire the effort of trying to do something good. It's the end result that's meh to me.


The patriot act did more to my freedoms than any scary brown middle eastern man. At the end of the day people still love our presidents and rant about how they can't wait to go kill a bunch of (insert racist names for middle eastern people)

Yeah because if they are as "democratic" as the u.s. then only  30% of the people actually voted for him.
I don't want to look at Pakistan numbers yes im lazy. But, saying they all need to be fucking dead is pretty stupid.

Our drone strikes in Pakistan have killed 170 children.
They need to fucking be dead their government let Osama hid there.

I agree with you we should not be giving financial aid to ANY nation.

a foreign military bombs the shit out of your country, killing over 1 million people. after they leave, they place economic sanctions on your country resulting in starving 500,000 children to death. the foreign country also puts military bases throughout your country and your neighboring countries. these soldiers at these military bases are notorious for raping local woman.

At the same time the perspective is interesting. Just people in general.


We're all so disconnected from one another. We could kill a fuck ton of people somewhere else and it's no big deal. They're enemies, the bad guys, different from us. It doesn't matter if there are civilians killed they're living amongst the enemy and probably support them. We don't see them as ourselves.

Peal harbor is a great example. We dedicate a day to it, we remember those who died and that's fine. I'm not trying to say anything bad about it. At the same time that's war. We act like it was some ridiculously horrible thing we couldn't have seen coming. This is what happens in wars.

We bomb peoples military bases all the time. That's what happens in war. You try to destroy the other sides military.


Why is is so much different when it's America? Other than the fact that we happen to live here. What makes us better than everyone else? If you lived somewhere else there's a good chance it would change your perspective.

You're really only on this "side" because you happen to live here. Why should that dictate everything you feel about world events.

I wasn't saying you were, or that he wasn't. Was just saying in general to a lot of peoples feelings in this thread. It just seems so easy for us to view people from other places as less than human, or just terrible people. Not like that's ever gotten us into trouble in the past.


I just feel like many people can't grasp that there's a possibility that the people on the other team, are looking at us the same way we look at them.

I just don't see the point of these wars. I guess as long as we're convinced that anyone different or the "enemy" is inherently evil, we'll keep on truckin down this road.

Very interesting point. I believe America has succumbed to killing people in other countries as well as other countries being attack by other countries simply because it's not us being killed. Anyone remember the 2005 London bus bombings? The 2011 Norway attacks? I bet you didn't until I just posted them. We only think about 9/11. I rarely even hear about the Oklahoma City bombing anymore, but that's a whole different issue.

Sometimes I feel as if we are constantly reminded of 9/11 because it's propaganda for the war in the Middle East, but then other times I feel as if we are reminded because it was a national tragedy. to go more in depth with the propaganda theory, I give you this video:



Was there any proof these people were celebrating because of 9/11? I feel like 9/11 is bashed into our heads to fire us up to kill these "dangerous muslims" and win the war we are currently in.

Bali: 202 killed
OKC bombing: 168 killed

9/11: 2,996 killed
