really? that first pic doesn't surprise me at all. then again, i live in the woods. moose get pretty fucking big, like 7 ft high at the shoulder and they weigh well over a thousand pounds.
I was being lazy, I should have worded it better. While the pictures may be real, they are taken to make the moose look way bigger than they really are. That one looks way bigger than 7ft tall.
i think, if you lived here (in the canadian woods) you would say his shoulder is about 7 ft, judging from the surroundings. i spend every day looking at and wandering around shit like this, minus the big fucking moose (i only see those like twice a year). he's probably an alaskan moose and that's why he's a gargantuan but i would say it's perfectly reasonable and there is no camera trickery.
Hmm maybe the trees are a lot shorter than I think they are? Here where I live the woods like this have trees that are 40+ feet tall so that could be why it's messing with my head haha
yeah those trees are pretty short look at the trunks no way a 40+ft tree would have a trunk that thin. we have big trees but they start off looking like the one he's standing over.
Actually smaller animals(younger) generally taste better as older game meat tends to be tougher.
I could easily see a moose go over 7 ft at the shoulder. I drove past one in northern maine, as in it was standing in the other lane as I passed it. I was in a honda civic(vtec yyyyeeaaa I know) and when we passed the moose I looked up to see it's stomach that was at a higher level than the cars roof. Granted a civic isn't a large car but it's probably almost 5 feet to the roof. If you've never seen one up close they are amazingly frickin huge. The one I passed looked just like that too, a monster bull with a huge rack. In the fuckin snow too on rt. 11 north in Maine if anyone knows the area.
