Armada at Sport Chek

I was just in a sport chek (basically a Dicks or something). I heard from a guy there that they are getting Armada this coming season.
I guess they are getting to be a pretty big company but that seems like a big jump for a company like that.

Sport Chek really is upping their winter quality. Mine sold FullTilts and every Line ski and some Atomics last season.

good armadas are the shit. best skis ive ever ridden but theyre so damn expensive

sport check is starting to phase in a new off-shoot section in the stores similar to atmosphere, nevada bobs, hockey experts, etc... called S3 (skate/snow/surf). they're trying to break into the rapidly expanding ski market by carrying higher quality products than in years past and i believe they even signed alexis godbout

the shop i work at is carrying them as well which i was slightly surprised about, I guess the gapers wanting JJ's market is getting bigger!

Fuck sportchek

There is one right across the street from the shop that I work at and I can not tell you how many times we have had people coming over with mounts done wrong, wrongly fit boots and skis and countless other issues because they were trying to save a few bucks.

this is why people still shop at small "mom and pop" shops. let's face it, G&B can't compete with prices at sport chek but it's the service that wins over customers.

believe me, i can't tell you how many times i've looked at a sport chek screw up and told the customer that you get what you pay for. the typical sport chek customer isn't someone you want to deal with anyway.

bottom line, if they weren't buying the ski at sport chek they'd be buying it online from the US and not from a decent shop. at least now the money stays in Canada.

portchek techs are just as certified as any tech in a shop. they have to go through so much training to be able to work in the shop. have you ever thought that it might be the shitty skis that they have to mount with shitty bindings that make it a shit ski?

the catalogue doesn't include it and that has all the ski products we carry so I doubt thats happening
