Good choice! I went from my 06' Crf100, to a 06' Crf250X I loved that bike it was a beauty and I bet you'll love it to a few simple and free mods and that thing is peppy! Woulda kept it forever except I started riding sand dunes so I bought that decked out 06' Crf450X this summer...I got a lot for $3,000 It has a full FMF system, Pro Taper Bars, Applied Triple Clamps, Scotts Steering Stabilizer, Ported Heads, brand new front and back Maxxis Dessert IT tires, fresh top-end (he proved it), White Plastics, Two Sprockets, 4 air filters, 2 oil changes, a motorcycle ramp, 2 torque wrenches, custom re-valved suspension perfect for my weight and SS valves!
Fuckin sick riding man. I think I'd shit my pants going through the woods that fast haha. Where is that race held??
No pics but me and my friends currently have a few brews and fuck around on my honda 50, my friends 70s yamaha 125, and another friends 80s kawi 250. Great times.
Best memory of the summer has to be full moon riding the 250 with no lights whatsoever.
Dude I gotta snap a pic in the barn were I store my bike for you. The guy that helps me work on my bike has a couple oldies like this. Not this brand but a few similar bikes. He rides a triumph bonneville 750, has a little suzuki 125 much like the bike you posted and a honda that looks pretty much like that too. It's a heavenly blend of gas, rubber, and oil that just fills the air every time ya walk in and I love it.
its called woodsman, its basically the c class of my series and you can ride anything from a 125 and up, i run 250 for the team series with my buddy though and we do pretty well
Threw on a desert tank for some longer races too. Also, one is from this summer when I had to redo my linkage. I might have to sell it soon. Had a big crash about a month and a half ago and have to pay hospital bills.
2008 YZ 250, owned since new! Currently up for sale though :(
Don't ride enough anymore to justify having a bike and a truck to haul it, so looking for a plated KTM 525 or 530. Cheap commuter, and will be able to keep up a decent pace in the single track as well. Not quite the same fun factor as grabbing a handful of 250 2-stroke throttle though...
