Ivan Petkov, the claimed inventor
(although nobody seems too positive) of carving skis/shaped skis , what ever you want to call them, either way without a doubt he made the greatest impact on skiing I feel, he was also pretty unknown, to me as well. I just read on SH that he passed away on Tuesday. More info here:
