Hey guys, I would normally love to do a lot of research about what I'm looking to buy in a new pair of skis except this sort of came up last minute. I had no interest in really buying a new pair of skis for a couple more seasons, however there is a big ski sale going on near my home THIS WEEKEND. Now I know that there are going to be A LOT of skis there, from all different brands and all at very good prices. So my problem is that I haven't been keeping up at all with who makes what, what would work best for me right now and I'm kind of short on time so I figured out my friends on NS might lend me a hand.
So I suppose I am not looking for THE ski necessarily, but rather A ski that would work, and then I'll go from there since I don't have much money at the moment. So thank you in advance and here are my specs.
I ski in NY, mostly in heavy lake effect areas.
Skiing Experience: 18 years, I'd say I am very advanced.
I am 6 ft, between 150-160 pounds.
I'd say I ski 60% park 40% all mountain.
I've been riding the 176 '06-'07 Line Chronics since they have come out and love them. Wouldn't mind going a tad longer however.
My budget doesn't really matter since I will be bargain shopping to an extent. If the price isn't there I'll keep what I've got.
So I suppose I am looking for a ski similar to the 06-07 Line Chronic, and also there will be used gear there so I wouldn't mind buying a pair that is not brand new this year. So I would really appreciate a range of suggestions and why you suggest them. And of course karma will be awarded.
Thanks so much guys!
