Hey guys,
Normally I wouldn't make a thread that may or may not mean absolutely nothing to you, but this subject of mine should be talked about amongst you guys and I would like to hear your guys' opinions on this.
About a year ago or so I purchased Armada THalls from a local ski shop (name will not be given) and brought in my last years skis/bindings to have the bindings mounted onto the new pair. I was super stoked for the season to begin and start skiing on them. By the end of the season they were worn out and ready to be put on NS to see if anyone would like to buy them off me.
Finally, I got a bite on them a few days ago and they were sold. I told the buyer that I would be able to unmount the skis myself and have them shipped to him the following day. Also, as mentioned in the thread I posted that they were only mounted once. So today I got to unmounting them and got both toe and heel pieces off both skis. As I was cleaning the skis, I saw on one of the skis' heel piece, that the drill holes of where the bindings had just been, there were MORE drill holes about a 1/2 cm above the ones recently applied. These holes were filled and someone clearly knew of what had happened.
Now I'm in this shit situation because the store I bought them from, I know the people extremely well. They are almost family to me. I find it hard to believe that they would take a brand new ski, fuck up on the drilling, fill the holes, drill the correct holes, mount the binding, and act like nothing had happened. It's really heartbreaking to find this out. It may not seem like a big deal, but the drill holes devalue the ski and skis can only go threw so many drills.
I notified the buyer about the situation and have yet to hear back from him. Him and I both were under the intention that they had been mounted once throughout both skis. Here are some pictures to let you know whats going on.
