Most religions are mostly bullshit, but Islam is kind of funny. It's interesting how they can hate so much on Christianity and stuff, when they basically believe in the same God.

Also I think people should care less about what other people/cultures think. Just let different countries have different cultures.

People don't seem to understand that you're on the other side of the spectrum. The sources you get your information are going to find the most fucked up things to report on. That's just the way it is. We don't want to hear that all muslim people aren't trying to kill us, so we'll just report about the ones that are and make it seem like it's all of them. their problem is not freedom of speech or any of this shit. a lot of countries in the middle east struggle to offer quality education and job opportunities to their people.

thats where hate always came from. and if you think you just ggo into a country, destroy the current leaders and set up a new regime with weapons, then youre mistaken.

unrelated to the thread,but I don't really know where else to post:

Progressive metal band The Faceless put out an album in August called "Autothesim". It's one of the best metal albums I've ever listened to. The production, song technicality and everything are pretty phenominal besides the clean singing. But what all the songs and lyrics are about portrays the idea that there is no God whatsoever, and everything is science. The lyricism on the whole album is fucking crazy.

None of the songs can be found on youtube because The Faceless are dicks like that, and claimed copywrite on every version of every song on their new album. But I would recommend downloading this to any metal fans, religious fanatics, or athiest fanatics. give it a solid couple of listens, and check out the lyrics.

inb4 nobody likes metal.

only countries where religion and government isnt seperated. this was the same in all christian countries for hundreds of years, idk where this high horse comes from?

obviously, the islam religion is a lot younger and there happened a lot of bad things in order to hinder scientific progress (before that bagdad wa sthe scientific center of the world), so they might just be 300-600 years back in terms of this development.

Yes, but that was thousands of years ago when those were created.   Those religions were never innately evil; in fact, they still are not.  It wasn't until the extremists twisted the meanings of certain parts of their religion that their religion itself was viewed upon by many other foreigners as the cause of the gruesome occurrences going on in the Middle East.

I also know that the internet tends to bash religion pretty hard.  So after reading a couple posts about religion being for "fucking retards" you'll have to forgive me for not thinking it was going to turn into a religion vs atheism thread. 

TLDR: I'm agreeing with you about the Middle East religious BS.

You have got to be fucking kidding me? There is no such thing as Islam without Islamic Law, it is part of the damn religion. The idea that religion and politics can be seperate is a Judo-Christian idea, that same idea is as foreign to Muslims as the moon. There is a reason that Islam dominates the politics of any country with a majority of Muslims.

in fact (from wiki, which is, to me, one of the least biased information sources in such matters), only france and portugal (of all EU countries) have the word "laicism" or another term describing the explicit seperation of church and state in their constitutions.

you could argue that A LOT of western countries are de facto secular at least in some aspects.

christianity AND CHRISTIAN LAWS dominate the western world. whats up with the gay-marriage discussion, abortion?

you cannot tell me that western countries have a perfect seperation of church and state in common.

in fact, i know you as one of the rightwingiest members on this site and i would assume that youre anti-gay marriage and anti-abortion stuff and vote for politicians who think the same and would pass christian laws. so, via this, i would even go as far (i know the 1st amendment) as saying that even the US arent laiciste, even though the founding fathers didnt intend this.

These countries are doing nothing to move mankind along. They are making absolutley no positive change in peoples live's an/or their own. They're literally equivalent to an ant farm. I don't consider them human, because a true human wants to in someway or other make a positive difference and help future generations be better than the last. I think it's time to just exterminate these bugs. Get them off the planet that I and the rest of humanity live's on. Make these countries a giant parking lot. If the United States wants to be the super power then they need to stop being pussies and start being the bully again...

We hate people that don't follow christianity. We try to force the religion on everyone else. We live by the parts of the bible we decide apply to us. Then we hate other religious people for being better followers of their religion.


From any angle it's WUT. I mean the bible says it's cool if I go out and start stoning people to death, stab some goats in the street, and rape chicks as long as I pay for them(and I even get to marry them).

But oh my, those scary middle eastern people follow a religion that's so fucked and out dated. I'm so glad nobody does that in 'Merica.

Does anyone know who this man is?

It's Geert wilders, a Dutch politician and parliamentary group leader of the PVV (Party for Freedom) which he founded.

He has been described as far and extreme right, whilst he is actually more towards the middle, he is a populist with just some very right ideas on immigration, and has critiqued the Islam in the past, for the way the treat woman, children and other religions our other non-religious people, summing up his views by saying, "I don't hate Muslims, I hate Islam".


Because of that he has received numerous death treats from Islamic people.
Wilders is said to have been "deprived... of a personal life for his... views on the Islam".

He is moved by his state-provided bodyguards to a different location every night, and does not receive visitors unless they are carefully screened and escorted at all times.

He is married to Krisztina Wilders (née Marfai), a former diplomat of Hungarian origin, with whom he can only meet about once every week because of security concerns.

The restrictions on his life because of this, he said, are "a situation that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy".


This was Wilders today casting his vote in today's elections.
A man under protecting for 24 hours a day for the past 7 years of his life, just because of his views, it saddens me.

on a general note: i have a pretty good friend from the netherlands and he said pretty much the same thing about wilders. is he really so misunderstood in the rest of europe?

obviously, the death threats are very problematic, but to a certain extent, you have to be careful what you say about things that are so important to a lot of people. case in point is i wouldnt count out the possibility that you get lynched by an angry mob if you run around with a "fuck 9/11 victims" at ground zero. a personal religion is NEVER a problem for society. they have a different approach towards treating certain groups, but thats their culture. we ourselves have treated homosexuals and women as shit right until a few decades back, so idk if you could say anything like this without having somethin else in your mind

the immigration issue is a big thing nowadays all around western europe and noone really has a solution.

Very, Theo van Gogh a Dutch film director who also openly criticized the Islam was murdered in 2004 in Amsterdam, he was shot dead and the murderer implanted a knife in his chest with a note threatening certain politicians who also criticized the Islam among other.


You can't imagine Wilders becoming anymore mild in his critique on the Islam after all these things.

The main issue with Dutch immigration is that people who immigrate act sad for a while, and then become a citizen with more benefits then most. It's ridiculous and they don't attempt to learn the language or the culture.

Immigration if fine with me, if you want to put in the effort but not if you are just coming here to get free money.

obviously he is just that if you look at it from today. but by that standards, nearly all of the kings and dukes and whatnot were pedophiles. i kind of read about history a lot and a lot of times, marriages were arranged with both or just one side being 7,8,10 or 14 years or whatever.

back in the day, childhood/children was/were not what it is today, idk how people feel the need to point out that mohammed did only what all the people at his time did/what was considered to be normal at that time.


jesus was probably just a blond (i have a good reason to write this) carpenter/architect (depending on the translation). but people inflated a religion around his words and thats what we have today. religion is extremely important to a lot of people, and while i am certainly not one of them, i have come a long way towards accepting that. religion is not a source of evil, at least not nowadays. a lot of conflicts which are called religious conflicts arent religious conflicts but have 100 other reasons. money and education are two of them. religion is just used by the leaders of the conflicts in order to use more people for their goals. this has nothing to do with religion, as all of the modern religions value life above all and islam is no exception.

you dont see rich, educated muslims in the US kill each other? but you do see white fuckheads kill people with turbans.
