unfortunetly, they cheated in a way. They took hundereds and thousands of single frame pictures, staggering it just a little bit each time. This would not ever be usable in any type of moving thing.
but if the technology advances to that in which they can "stagger" the pictures almost instantly, then boom - your statement is no longer valid. This video, and most other TED videos show technologies at a very early stage. Like a prototype of the technology, if you will.
fucking sick! few technical questions... how the fuck does the sensor on that camera refresh so fast? and how the fuck can the processor handle that shit?
I doesnt capture all the frames in one try. They do it over and over and over. Then they have created a program to integrate all the runs together.
As far as the processor goes, I doubt they're doing this on any run of the mill desktop. Im sure they built something specific to their processing needs
