Why do we still have GIGANTIC jumps onto rails? And why sometiems do they build them on the outside of a set? I could do almost any rail that they do because they have the jumps so HUGE! Some of them are ABOVE the rail! Thats absolutely rediculous! The most it should be is about half the height. AT MOST! One third the height of the rail is a good height to have the jump without bein a pussy.
Whats up?

well another thing is that the rails are lke ten times harder than than in the park and usually there is like a 20 foot drop on 1 side

sometimes you have to build an higher jump to do the rail if yopu simply cant get onto the rail by poping.
I'm not into big jumps onto rails. but i do know that sometimes, there is no way you can get on a rail by popping... exemple, you dont have any speed so you'll have to pop a good 2 feet of vertical to get on the rail
on the other hand, if you can get enought speed, and the rail goes down, your a fucking sisy if you make thejump just as high as the rail

I'm pretty surprised how many people are ok with big pussy jumps here...
I think thats part of what is missing in skiing; People care about the trick instead of the style and substance.

i'm def not ok with it, but with no speed its been necessary for me before. normally tho my jumps are tiny...just as much because im lazy as it is because its pussy to use a huge bump

^thats an example of an exception, they have extremely limited snow and speed there, so they need a big setup onto the rail.
AND ITS 8 FUCKIN KINKS!!

doesnt matter.. they are pussies.. they have a big jump. naw but seriously I tottally agree. Every snowboarder I have shown forward just straight up laughs at the size of the jumps onto the rails. And I hate comparing skiing to snowboarding because there are differences, and in reality a snowboarder can laugh at a skier all they want, because everyone here knows skiing is better. However, the jumps are too big, and I'm sure 5-10 years ago snowboarders had big jumps onto urban rails too. But sports progress, and now that we've uncovered this issue, I'm sure in time to come those unneccesarily large jumps will disappear due to progression in the athlete's abilities, and to ski technology.
