boulder sucks, ive given it a shot so many times, tried to understand how you could enjoy being there and i just never have, its a cool town and all, but the people fucking blow, sure there are the occasional cool people, but an overwhelming majority of them suck and all in the same ways..
its this whole, "look at me i ride a bike and dont own a car, screw you for trying to get somewhere ill ride 10mph in the middle of the road if i want cause you pollute and im wearing shitty clothes even though im fucking loaded so im better. i own 10,000 dollars in camping equipment so i can camp once a year. i dont own a T.V. look at me, but hey i got these $200 sandles that fall apart. im a beer enthusiast, locals only, its not a jacket its a north face. screw the corporations man, money's evil even though my parents spend 50,000 on me a year so i can play hippie, im so well off/boring that i have to pretend to be poor and living off nothing, then brag about it. im the most accepting person ever but fuck you if your opinion differs from mine, and fuck you even more if you dont smoke."
you see these types in other parts of colorado, oregon, BC, etc.. but its like boulder has 10x the concentration.
